| Contents | Mary visited Liese [Louise Derenberg], Mary's step children [Ingrid and Eva Warburg] have been united with their parents in Mittelweg, Liese's [Louise Derenberg's] step child, Charlottchen [Charlotte Esther Warburg], will stay one more week with Liese; Anna [Warburg] is pleased to move into her new home; in the morning Mary visited Alice who with Max is going to Berlin for two days; Max Adolph sent a long letter; he had the flu and it it took him a long time to get over it; he plans to stay in Heidelberg for the summer semester, which Mary welcomes; moving to Munich would make a huge impression on him, but she fears he might not be equal to the situation, might get confused; he is very much taken by [L] Curtius and not so much by [E.] Hoffmann; he does not write much about Boll, only that he feels very much for Boll; he was invited to Neumanns; Mary will forward Panofsky's letter the next day; she will also write a short note to Nurse Lydia; Mary enjoyed the previous evening at Lili du Bois-Reymond's; she read a true story, which she was told by the pastor ['Fietepastor'] and which Lili has written down; also she showed etchings by [Maurice] Sterne; tells Warburg not to despair |
