Contentsis disappointed with Mary's letter; how can [Heinrich] Embden maintain that he has given precise instructions, when, in Warburg's presence, he only talked about general things?; Kurt Binswanger has told Warburg, that he cannot do anything to get Warburg better trusses; that was the reason why they talked about bringing in a truss-maker from Germany, trusted by Warburg; Warburg had contact with Swiss and German doctors and trussmakers, from Kreuzlingen, Zurich, St. Gall, Schaffhausen, Münsterling, but to no good; it seems that those who are supposed to heal him, Ludwig and Kurt Binswanger, in fact, torture him; asks Mary to send him Krauth from Hamburg; Krauth is the only one who could help him; is sorry that he cannot employ Nurse Eulenberg; is certain, that Mary will not be able to employ another Nurse; how about Nurse Auguste Huber?; orders plasters to be sent with Alice [Warburg], soaps, a large new briefcase, with two keys, lined and his name and Hamburg address embossed on it; ring book, folders, blocks with writing paper, envelopes; has Detta [Marietta Warburg] asked Hammers whether they have received a box of chocolates from Warburg?; wants that Mary has the Perseus material in [Wilhelm Heinrich] Roscher bound in Hamburg, mentions firm Ludwig Papp; he is waiting for Milly Becker [Bianca Emilie Rohland-Becker] to arrive; Milly has arrived, Warburg is very happy about her visit; Milly has diarrhoea which Warburg is treating with Uzara [drops]; the next day they will visit Mrs. Schlögel; is waiting for a letter from Max Adolph; Milly adds: thanks Mary for her greetings, she will write a long letter the next day; she has been chatting with Warburg and enjoyed herself very much; they have lighted the Christmas tree; Warburg sends greetings to Datzen [Marietta Warburg], Frede, 'Bücherstube' [library staff]
