Contentson a letter which was waiting for them at Kösterberg; sends money for Lena's birthday, a dress for Frede; is impressed that Frede has a desk as work station; what will Theo [Schwisow] organize for Lena's birthday?; mentions the trip to Darmstadt; weather is very hot; on 18/07/1925 they had the last lecture in the annual series, Eduard Fraenkel on Lucan and his influence on the Renaissance; afterwards Warburg gave an impromptu lecture on the arch of Constantine and the use of its 'Pathosformeln' in the Renaissance, Ghirlandaio, and especially on the frescoes in the Tornabuoni chapel in S. Maria Novella; she is very pleased that the lectures will resume only in November; Max Adolph has found a room in the flat of Mrs. Dittrich, Unter der Schanz 4 [Heidelberg]; Marietta visited him; Max Adolph will return via Berlin on 10/08/1925, wants to go on a painting holiday to Dalmatia in the autumn; Warburg has allowed the trip if Max Adolph will have finished translating his seminar paper into Latin; Lisl sends greetings
