Contentsafter Emil Warburg's phone call and Saxl's cable Warburg relented but it will never happen again; explains that he will put KBW to the disposal of other organisations if they strengthen the soil in which KBW is rooted; Kurt Hahn uses methods in his educational programme which seem to be endorsed by KBW if he lectures in KBW; values Hahn as man, but does not value his position on classical antiquity; does not agree with Saxl's argument that Warburg owes him gratitude for what Hahn has done for Warburg in Kreuzlingen; on his work in Italy which goes remarkably well; [Ernst] Steinmann, who has an understanding for Warburg's 'mission', has invited Warburg to lecture at the Bibliotheca Hertziana on 19/01/1929; is convinced that his method is the right way, the combination of the 'elements' image, word, festival and dramatic arrangement; the Italians have long accepted the work of Warburg's institute as essential cooperation; A. Farinelli will introduce Warburg to the former minister of education, Giovanni Gentile; Warburg's return to Hamburg might be postponed, but he knows that Saxl is back in command of operations in Hamburg and likes it; sends greetings to Max Warburg, in the US at present
