Isay; in Berlin he will talk a, to Friedrich Schmidt-Ott re grant for Saxl's research in connection with Heidelberg Academy; b, he will attend the committee meeting of the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz on 26/03/1928; he managed to have [Ludwig Heinrich] Heydenreich and K. Sternelle accepted for the spring courses in Florence; c, he will talk to a solicitor re transfer of KBW publications from Teubner publishers to a different publisher; explains expenditure of KBW; only one clerical officer, Miss Hertha Ehrenberg, instead of three, no trip to Italy in the spring because of the projected trip to the US in the autumn, annual payments of insurance etc. which are due in January etc.; from April 1928 onward the monthly support for his nephew Wilhelm [Wilhelm Adolph Hertz] and for his brother-in-law Wilhelm [Hertz] will discontinue; on expenditure for Marietta Braden and Frede Warburg; is sorry that Warburg's lecture [in Handelskammer] for Max Warburg's friends, scheduled for the same evening, had been cancelled; on a project where he wants to present all his different articles in one large oeuvre, 'Die Entwicklung des weltlichen Kunststils zur Zeit der europäischen Renaissance'; this would have been the topic of the lecture; it is necessary to select the illustration material for each lecture carefully; Mary Warburg, Bing, Lothar Freund helped him; calls the job 'slaughter of the innocents' as he had to narrow down the number of illustrations; he is still at Max Warburg's disposal to give the lecture at a later time |
