Contentshe would be very happy if Warburg decided to meet up with him in Belgium; on the painting 'Der Violinspieler'; copies a description of a painting, published as number 22 in the catalogue of the exhibition in the [Royal] Academy: 'Portrait of a man, National Gallery of Ireland, attributed to Raffaellino del Garbo; bust, to left, showing hands, of a young man holding a violin with both hands, looking to right; blue ? dress and cap, long hair, on shelves beside him are other instruments, a bow is held by his left arm, landscape seen through a windof of the room'; Friedländer thinks the painting, originally from Florence, in the style of Filippino, may correctly be attributed to Raffaellino
