Schütt [Elfriede Schütt], is allowed to stay in the flat in Hamburg until the removal of the furniture, possible first week of August; books and papers will be removed the next day, some 934 titles in 1250 volumes and some 950 brochures; Warburg had a discussion with Werner von Melle; it is likely that a large part of books will be taken over by the Hamburg Stadtbibliothek; Warburg will establish a consortium of friends to purchase the remainder of books; there were 3 heliogravures of the [Robert] Münzel portrait in the estate; Warburg has given one to [Karl] Rathgen and one to [Carl Friedrich Michael] Meinhof; they cost Mark 5 each; Warburg has requests for heliogravures from [E.] Marcks in Munich, [Friedrich] Koepp in Frankfurt for his sister, [Albert] Köster in Leipzig and [Walther] Judeich in Döbeln; would Stuck agree that Warburg distributes c. 10 heliogravures to friends?; others could buy a copy from the photographer Dührkoop; Mrs. [Magda] Deseniss has requested a little present for Professor [J.H. Gustav] Buchholz; may Warburg send him something?; sends greetings, also to Mrs. [Erika] Hüglin and her children |
