Contentsthanks him for letter; went to New Haven to look at a tournament painting; he could not really decypher it, but copies out the letters he could read; mentions knight in full armour, other knights, shields etc.; he does not intend to catalogue the collections in New York, but only wants to write an account of them; forwards photographs of Italian pictures and asks him to keep quiet about them; only Warburg and Friedlaender [Walter Friedlaender?] have seen them; he will send Warburg the catalogue of Mrs. Gardner's collection in Boston; he will travel to Spain and Italy, forwards his address c/o Seligman Bros., 32 bis Boulevard Haussmann, Paris; would be grateful to receive Warburg's view about the photographs
