| Contents | apologizes for late reply; re his notes on the Codex Vallardi and the [Gentile] Bellini sketchbook; the Codex Vallardi contains a very diverse collection of drawings; only very few are by Pisanello, other drawings are for a book on hunting, some are carefully coloured, there are sketches of heads, two by Leonardo; lists 15 folio numbers and adds seven sketches of heads and headdresses; there are also sketches of turbans, furcoats with long sleeves, trimmed with feathers and fur; encloses the notes he took from the Bellini sketchbook; refers Warburg to the article by [Eugène] Müntz in 'Gazette des Beaux Arts'; [Adolphe] Braun, in Paris, Avenue de l'Opera, has photographed the codex; Clemen could not find anywhere the motif which Warburg was looking for, garments in motion; offers to do more research for Warburg in London |
