ContentsWarburg writes: he gave the last of his three lectures on Leonardo on 22/09/1899; attended by some 450 to 500 people; he grouped his lectures into three parts: 1, Leonardo in his Florentine years; 2, Leonardo and his relations to the culture of the Early Renaissance at the court in Milan; 3, Leonardo's master pieces; the last lecture was the easiest; on 01/10/1899 he will give a talk on the [Leonardo] drawing kept in Kunsthalle; he thinks that he can turn his lecture notes into a 'Habilitation' lecture; hopes to be back in Florence at the end of October; he has not done anything yet about employment plans in Kiel; sends greetings to Brockhaus and his wife, hopes that the next winter will be fruitful and cheerful; Mary Warburg writes to Else Brockhaus: sends greetings, thanks her for a card; Marietta is well, has two teeth
