| Contents | replies to a query on coat-of-arms; does not think they are Florentine; he does not have the book by [Théodore de] Renesse ['Dictionnaire des figures héraldiques'] in Hamburg; but he will check it when in Florence, the first two weeks in April; he cannot stay longer because he suffers from hayfever and has to return by the end of April; on the 'Nino- Mino' coat-of-arms; it is a good idea to look for the Flémalle portrait among the Strozzi; mentions a portrait by Memling, could be Niccolo Strozzi or his brother in Bruges Jacopo; the painting by Mino is not that of Niccolo, but possibly the portrait of Jacopo; in the letters by Alessandra Macinghi is a wonderful description of Niccolo's face; there are very many reviews in 'Kunstchronik' by E. St., [Ernst Steinmann]; Warburg did not want that Steinmann writes a review of Warburg's 'Bildniskunst' and did not send him a review copy; does Bode know E. A. Seemann in Berlin?; Warburg would be happy to send a copy to 'Kunstchronik' if he could be certain that Steinmann would not be asked to review it |
