| Contents | he was busy with preparations for the meeting of the Board on 20/05/1902; informs him that an association was founded, 'Verein zur Erhaltung des kunsthistorischen Institutes in Florenz'; it is now a matter of importance to justify the trust invested in the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz; it remains a private institute, the German state supports it financially and nominates members to the Board: [Ferdinand Eduard von] Stumm, Mendelssohn, Hertling, [Cornelius von] Fabriczy, [Woldemar von] Seidlitz; they can rent rooms in Viale Margherita 19 and can make an interconnecting door in the wall [to be rooms rented in no. 21]; publications have been discussed and still need to be approved, a post likewise; wants to print the report of the meeting; it is a pity that Warburg's book 'Bildniskunst' can not be rated a publication of the Institute, but he hopes that Warburg will be able to publish something soon under the auspices of the Institute; an important step was made, it is now up to them to justify the trust; it is very hot in Florence but he cannot leave before 01/07/1902 |
