| Contents | forwards a number of slips of papers so that Warburg can see what has been checked; mentions notes on Cardoni; corrects a name, Gardelli, not Baronelli; receipts of Unione Italiana, but not of Fondiaria; there is a problem with Warburg's policy with them, Warburg was not listed as foreigner; acknowledges receipt of money to pay insurance premiums and gardener Cesare, he has paid everything; Cesare informed him that he receives Lire 20 per month, not as Warburg thought Lire 30;Warburg will have to take this up with him after his return to Florence; Brockhaus has found the books requested by Warburg and asked Seeber [B. Seeber succ. di Loescher & Seeber succ. di Loescher & Co] to forward them to Warburg; about Warburg's order on the Del Migliore codex 141 and 146, they are very long, many pages of Inventories and hundreds of pages of text; it would be much too much to have them transcribed in full; [Raffaello] Uccelli is prepared to transcribe selected text pages, wants only as little as Lire 20 to 30; they ought to offer more money to transcribers in future as otherwise they would get people who make too many mistakes; they have to budget c. 40 centesimi for transcribing one page; advises Warburg to write to R. Uccelli directly, c/o Biblioteca Nazionale, which entries he needs transcribed; Uccelli might have finished his work on the Sassetti family, Brockhaus will forward it to Warburg as soon as he receives it from Uccelli, in fact, mentions that he already encloses it; new regulations about concessionary tickets for museums have come into force; at the end of the month Brockhaus wants to move to Forte dei Marmi, to their old villa; Hilgers will leave soon, Steffens as well |
