Contentsthanks him for letter; he went to the British Museum and searched in vain for any manusripts of Benedetto Dei; what Warburg told him about the [Botticelli] tapestry is very interesting; Horne will not go to Oxford, but to Paris; will Warburg come to England in the autumn?; in any case, he encloses a postcard to Mr. [Robert] Ross, as Mr. Ross will give Warburg an introduction to Professor [Frederick] York Powell at Oxford; Ross will also show Warburg cassoni panels, including Mr. Rutler's; Guy de Baudreuil was an abbot, but how could the tapestry have been made for him, if he was not made Abbot of Corbigny before 1526?; the tapestry must have been made before 1510 at the latest; was he Abbot of some other monastery before 1526?; when will Warburg be in Florence?; greetings to Mary Warburg
