Contentsapologizes for late reply; he was very busy with the discussions about establishing a university in Hamburg; [Max Albert Wilhelm] Lenz, Professor of modern history, Berlin, has accepted the appointment in Hamburg; Lenz hopes to be able to turn the Colonial Institute into a university; Warburg's own scholarly research is making progress; in the summer he gave lectures on the occasion of the Hamburg Summer courses together with [Franz] Boll and [Carl] Bezold on astrology throughout the ages; maybe Mesnil [Jacques Dwelshauvers] and [André] Berthélot would have been interested in them?; suggests that Berthélot should come to Hamburg and give lectures on [H] Bergson; the publication of the proceedings of the congress in Rome [1912] seems to be making progress; Warburg will send Mesnil the programme of the Summer courses for 1914; Mary is busy with sculpting, their children are all well; does Mesnil' son Lorenzo still collect postage stamps?; sends New Year greetings
