| Contents | thanks him for 'Schreiberln', pencils [the child uses the familiar address 'Du']; his mother uses them to make drawings of animals for him; when she has finished, he scribbles over them, destroys them and then his mother says 'But Didi!' to him; his birthday was lovely, he ran around the whole day with a wreath on his head; he ate huge amounts of chocolates; he will send him a picture of his birthday; he can speak much more now, but his mother prefers him to say 'tschitschi' for railway; father is no longer ill, next day he will go on a mountain tour with Bobbi and Butzi [Ludwig Adolf Binswanger]; there is still snow in the mountains, and they will sit down on the snow and slide downhill; Dietrich will stay with mother and have a look at his picture book; mother is sad that Warburg has left Kreuzlingen and Dietrich is also sad, but she is happy that Warburg is well; mother will keep Warburg's big birthday letter till the day when he will be able to read it for himself |
