Contentsafter having accompanied Warburg to Frankfurt, Ludwig Binswanger had a severe flu; he found time to read Warburg's and Boll's books, Boll's 'Sternglauben' with Warburg's dedication; he then read Warburg's Ferrrara research and 'Vorträge' of KBW; thanks for books and card, is very happy to have the books in his library; understands very well the success of the Schifanoia lecture and Warburg's joy of discovery; Binswanger, however, values higher the less challenging Sassetti article, the method with its research direction on one man, is akin to his own working method; liks Saxl's introduction to 'Vorträge'; finds Warburg's idea in his Ferrara article of a 'historical psychology of human expression' 'grandious'!; encourages Warburg to write the principles of such a psychology; likes very much Warburg's definition of astrology as 'name fetishism projected into the future'; quotes an example of how biological inferiority may lead to 'a heightened ability of mental expression'; enjoyed having accompanied Warburg to Frankfurt and having listened to his stories; mentions Franziska [Jahns], calls her 'one of the mild stars, on its orbit, without knowing its effect and leaving much more influence than many larger lights crossing our own orbits loudly and with a lot of commotion'; thanks for Mary's letter telling him that everything is fine; sends greetings to Mary Warburg, [Heinrich] Embden, Max Warburg, Nurse Lydia, [Franz] Alber; Mrs. [Hertha] Binwswanger is in the mountains, he is looking after his sons Boby [Robert Binswanger], Wolfgang and Dieter [Dietrich Binswanger]
