Contentsthanks him for a letter and the 'sweet' Christmas present; with the money she has bought coffee and will drink it with her mother; it was very kind of Warburg to send presents to her and the other staff members; Miss Runge was very pleased with Warburg's letter, everything she sent out on Warburg's request was beautifully wrapped; the business is doing well; thanks Mary for the Hamburg calendar, she has Hamburg now in front of her eyes; she visits Mr. Behrends every day for two hours and they talk about Hamburg; Nurse Hedwig has been on leave for six weeks and will return only on 10/01/1925; Lydia is still nursing Ludwig Binswanger's aunt [Mrs. Andrae], who will leave mid January; at Christmas she was thinking of Warburg family in Hamburg, hopes that he had a lovely Christmas; in the sanatorium they celebrated Christmas as always, the children performed tableaux vivants; Mr. Butz was not in Parkhaus, he had to go to Genoa and collect Mr. Sanquinetti; Nurse Sophie was on holiday, so that Lydia had to stand in for her; there was hoarfrost over Christmas, very beautiful; an American couple and their young daughter had moved into Warburg's apartment in Villa Maria; Mrs. Dr. Ludwig Binswanger [Hertha Binswanger] was very touched that Warburg sent them all Christmas presents; Dieterle [Dietrich Binswanger] cannot understand that Warburg has left, he often speaks of 'Offessor'; on Christmas Eve Lydia was allowed to go to her sister, Mrs. Kech [in Konstanz], on the Christmas days she had to work; Dr. Benda returned this day, brought her Warburg's greetings; the only maid left in Villa Maria is Milly, Lydia brought her Warburg's present, a box of chocolates; Hans Meier keeps on asking about Warburg, he is getting better; hopes that Warburg received her parcels without difficulties; sends New Year greetings; her mother and Kechs send greetings
