| Contents | he had a visitor, young Giovanni Poggi, recommended by [Guido] Mazzoni; Poggi has been working on Inventories for years; Warburg is impressed with his conscientious work, he wants to publish his work as it will be of great help to Warburg; characterizes him as a man with 'lower middle class movements' but with upper middle class views; a publication of Poggi's work would make it possible for Warburg not to be in Florence all the time; however, it would be expensive; the weather is very bad and work in the archive nearly impossible; Adelia and Pietro [Rossi] work well together, Rosina is also working at [Robert and Philippine] Davidsohn's; in the evening he will visit [G.] Swarzenski; [Emilie and Alceste] Giorgetti visited Warburg the previous day, Mrs. Giorgetti played; he does not meet Heinrich Brockhaus socially, only in the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz; the previous day Brockhaus suggested to have the [Medici] inventories published by the Institute; Mrs. Elsa Brockhaus sends greetings, Milly looks very sweet; Warburg is very interested in the affair E. - K.
