Contentsinformation on Dr. Meyer Abraham, later styled Abramson or Abrahamson; he was the son of Abraham Meyer and Zipora Aaron, from Hanover, and was 34 years of age in 1796, therefore born in 1762; he graduated in 1783; Abraham Meyer was a medical doctor in Hanover, quotes literature by J.K.P. Elwert; Meyer Abraham married Marian, his first wife, daughter of the medical doctor Gerson, on 17/06/1790; he lived in Hamburg, Zeughausmarkt 190; he married a second time Fanni, daughter of Wesly [Welsky?], on 19/08/1804; he was baptized in St. Petri on 23/08/1796 and changed his name to Rudolph Peter Meyer; sponsors were Antoinetta Catharina Behrmann, wife of the priest who baptized him, Georg Peter Schwend, head verger in St. Michaelis, and Johann Nicolaus Kiesewetter; on the Saturday after the baptism he went to confession but did not attend the church service on the following Sunday; he explained that he had to revert to Judaism as his mother, wife, children, relations and friends urged him to revert to Judaism; a short time later he was given a document by the head verger that he reverted to Judaism; lists his addresses in Hamburg, the last one, Dragonerstall 360, where he died, was the property of Johann Jacob Gensler; Hagedorn cannot supply the names of Dr. Meyer Abraham's children; advises Warburg to write to the syndic Dr. Nathan; Meyer Abraham was a doctor employed by the Jewish hospital in Hamburg, according to Elwert; Hagedorn does not know anything about a portrait or writings of him
