Contents | thanks aunt Mali [Amalie Goldschmidt] for her congratulations on his exam results; he heard from his teacher [Julius] Bintz that he passed well; continues two days later; tells her of the silver wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Bauer; there was lots to eat and there was a performance which was 'mediocre'; he danced until three in the morning; his parents are preparing to leave on holiday; he will follow suit but only after 02/09/1886 when he will have left school formally;thanks his cousin Rosa [Goldschmidt], styled 'Röschen', for her congratulations; he worked hard for his exams, daily seven to nine hours; the Greek oral exam was difficult, Latin and Ancient History were easier |
