Contentspromises to write his weekly letter so that it arrives each Friday in Hamburg; is sorry that Lieschen [Louise Warburg] has whooping cough; his sister's illness would have been reason enough for him not to travel to Hamburg at Christmas, as he would not be able to see his friends; reports of a lunch in the Cahn house, attended by 'charming' Mrs. Carl Cahn, who Warburg had meet in the [Emil] Ungar house where he also had met Mrs. Alfred Cahn, née Morpert; asks his mother to order a pair of striped trousers from Meincke; asks her to send everything to Frankfurt; informs her that the son of Nathaniel Rothschild and the son of Erlanger, from Vienna, are students in Bonn; sends greetings to Elsa [Warburg], mentions her trip to Cuxhaven; is pleased for 'Pudel' [Paul] having obtained good marks for his essay; informs her that he has nothing left to eat if she does not send him a food parcel; thanks his brother 'Firz' [Fritz Warburg] for his letter
