Contentsdescribes his daily routine; the barber calls at 7 in the morning, at a quarter past seven he has a cup of coffee with an egg, rolls and butter; he then leaves for his lectures which start at 8am; [Theobald] Ziegler lectures from 8 to 9am; he then goes to the art historical seminar, to the library; Adolf Michaelis lectures at 12 noon; he has lunch in 'Germania', a large restaurant, with [Friedrich] Keutgen, Matthew, Gaedechens from Livland, [Walter] Lenel, Rothschild [Lenel's cousin], W. Vöge, Hans Nirrnheim; from 3 to 4pm he attends the Hubert Janitschek lecture, from 4 to 8pm he is working in the institute; he visited the Lenels on 05/11/1889 and the Cohns on 03/11/1889; he had a meal in both houses and enjoyed his time there; both families send greetings, says [Gottschalk] Sander; returns a letter by Paul Warburg, which reached him via Felix
