Contentsuncle Moritz [Oppenheim] asked Warburg to tell Charlotte Warburg that Luise and Martha [Rosenbacher] from Prague will not attend the festivities because Liese [Louise Warburg] is ill; it is a blow to Paul Warburg's preparations; Moritz added that if not all family members can attend, then Ise [Louise Warburg?], Fritz and Franziska [Jahns] could also stay at home; Warburg is very much against this suggestion; either one celebrates family festivities like a golden wedding with dignity or not at all [however: the golden wedding of the grandparents would have been on 16/02/1888 and not in 1890]; a short comedy with a few songs is not enough; does not see why Fritz, Ise [Louise Warburg] and Franziska [Jahns] should stay at home; next day he will leave for Strasbourg; is depressed that he is not well enough; Felix Warburg received lovely presents; the sugar icing on aunt Mali's [Amalie Goldschmidt's] cake was a bit brittle, but the cake itself wonderful; praises Emma [cook of aunt Amalie Goldschmidt] and her baking; Felix thanks for birthday letter and present; he is very busy in the office as two people out of five are absent
