| Contents | he does not have to write to her if there are no news and he is busily studying; uncle Moritz [Oppenheim] expressed the wish that father, she, Max and Olli [Olga Warburg] should come to Frankfurt for 16/02/1890 [wedding anniversary of grandparents]; they will not be able to do so as Dr. [Max] [von der] Porten does not think it wise for Charlotte to travel for the moment; just because she did not contract influenza he does not want her to risk catching it by going to Frankfurt; advises him to send a cable with congratulations to his grandparents on 16/02/1890; she sent a letter to Paul Warburg with a drawing she made of a funny scene with aunt Mali [Amalie Goldschmidt]; Paul will forward the letter to Warburg; Max has invited three Englishmen, two Frenchmen, three Germans for Sunday lunch; on 08/02/1890 Max will attend the ball at Ludwig Sanders's; informs him about the latest engagement, Mathilde Udewald and Gustav Schwarz, an associate of Ernst Meyer's (Rée); fat Siegmund Behrend and Miss Ladenburg, from London, also got engaged; sends greetings |
