Warburg has arrived in Menton and met his mother who has found a good cook; informs him of the engagement of Alfred Löwengard and Miss [Jenny] Kanitz from Vienna; Miss Kanitz frequently visited Emil Oppenheim, she is very nice; the previous day Albert Oppenheim gave a party, Charlotte and Moritz Warburg attended and watched the young people dance; Olga and Paul Warburg attended a lecture on 'Kunstbetrachtungen' by [Arthur?] Fitger, Olga also attends regularly the Sunday lectures of Alfred Lichtwark; Olga Warburg meets Elly Simon daily, Elly is staying with Mrs. George Simon, Mrs. Julius Simon is staying in Reinbeck; Mrs. George Simon has given Warburg the wrong address of her friend in Florence, the friend stays in Hotel de Grand Bretagne; Max Warburg informs him that he has paid Warburg's bill with J.
