Contents | Felix is very happy; he arrived looking totally exhausted but is feeling better by now; the Warburg family have not sent congratulations to Schiffs, because the engagement is not yet official; it will be in New York in March 1895; Charlotte and Moritz Warburg, however, have written to Schiffs in Baden-Baden telling them that they have heard the good news and that they will not stop Felix from moving to New York; they have also suggested to them to travel via Ostend to England so that they could meet there; they still wait for the reply; both Mr. and Mrs. [Therese] Schiff behaved very well towards Felix and Frieda loves 'the black man' [=Felix] really very much; Felix hopes that Mr. [Jacob] Schiff will relent and permit Felix to write to Frieda |
