Contentsthanks her for letter and photographs of Olga; he has already framed the photograph of Max, Paul and Felix and will buy two more frames for photographs of Olga and one of Frieda and Felix; wants to know the title of the Richard Meyer book, otherwise he cannot write a letter of thanks; does not find it right that Charlotte and Moritz Warburg do not plan to attend Felix Warburg's wedding in New York; wonders whether the house in Niendorf will be big enough for the Warburg family and Felix and Frieda; the house is not a substitute for a summer holiday; is offended that Felix Warburg complained about Warburg's letter of congratulations, written when Warburg was really ill; his doctor in Florence, Dr. [Edgar] Kurz, wants to know where in Hamburg he can buy 'Wittenburgscher Silberdraht', used by Dr. Schede for his operations; tells him to send [Gottschalk] Sander with the request to a truss-maker; the Hamburg eye specialist Pedraglia, who lost some patients in the cholera epidemic, has moved to Florence; advises Fritz Warburg to take photography lessons as many of his photographs lack sharpness; forwards an address where Charlotte can buy oranges, Mrs. Krahnstöver has recommended the firm; cannot imagine Varese as businessman; on Warburg's work, he is working well; enjoys the company in the German club; one of its members is the Duke of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, chairman is Herr von Seckendorff; Warburg does not like Herr von Kaufmann, from Weimar, in the club, he is a cynical man; Alfred Doren will go to Germany for three weeks over Christmas; Mrs. and Miss [Alice] Hallgarten have left for Rome; Warburg plans to have Italian lessons with a friend of Alice [Hallgarten], Miss [Nelly] Wissotzki [should be Wissotsky]; she is a teacher; praises Alice [Hallgarten], a 'first rate character'; reports that the weather is very cold; wants to have Rosa [von Günzburg] address and Paul Ruben address; thanks her for the receipt of membership payments from 'Pan' society
