Contentsthanks for addresses, letter etc.; Alfred Doren has left for Frankfurt for three weeks; Herr von Seckendorff has invited Warburg to a musical evening on 20/12/1894; on 21/12/1894 he was invited at Krahnstöver's; on 22/12/1894 he attended a meeting of a publication committee; on 24/12/1894 there was a Christmas party in his hotel, he has a lunch invitation by Professor Schiff for the same day and will visit [Oskar and Elisa] Bulle-Rigutini the next day and shortly afterwards [Giuseppe] Rigutini [Elisa Bulle's father]; some 50 people attended the Christmas party in the hotel, the Americans sang the whole evening; there are many Germans in the hotel, many of them former army personnel, and many members of nobility; people behave very well, but still Warburg does not find them easy going because they are so dry and arrogant; the Petri family [Luigi and Anna?] presented him with a little red bronze cube for the writing desk; he cannot think of travelling to America if Felix wants to get married as early as 21/03/1895; Warburg has to work in Florence until the beginning of February and he then has to visit Rome; weather is good, but dry and very windy; sends Christmas greetings to Franziska, she will receive his present, a heavy gold brooch, next July
