Contentson 03/05/1895 Mr [Salomon] and Mrs [Salomon] Loeb, daughter Nina, Olga and Paul arrived safely in Hamburg; on 04/05/1895 they stayed with Warburg family, the next day they hired a steamer and went downstream on the Elbe; Ernst Bartels and Franziska provided the catering on board; on 06/05/1895 there was a big party in the Warburg house, 80 people; the prologue, written by [the musicologist, not art historian] Max Friedlaender, was spoken by Bertha Robinow and Alice Magnus; the performance of 'Othello' went very well and Loebs liked it very much; everybody loves Frieda and 'little aunt Nina' who is totally different from Frieda; she reminds her of E. Duse, with dark beautiful eyes and dark hair; the photograph they had from her was not very good, Fritz has made new photographs and Charlotte will forward them to Warburg; Paul is in love with Nina; Solomon and Betty Loeb and their daughter Nina, who have left for Karlsbad, sent a letter to Paul asking him to join them there; Frieda calls Nina 'her aunt Pussi', she is like a loving sister to Frieda; Loebs are very agreeable people; they will return to Hamburg in July and stay in Park Hotel
