Contentshe is very pleased with their letters from Florence as they show him that they like the city; is grateful to his father for raising the topic of the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz; the International Congress of the History of Art in Budapest surely did not decide anything on the Institute in Florence, otherwise he would have heard about it; Warburg agrees that he might be a useful member of the committee, possibly as librarian; he will sound out people in Berlin as he will go to Berlin on 28/10/1896; has heard nothing about an appointment in Kiel; re H. Ulmann: finds it a scandal that nobody tried to stop his suicide; they should not believe everything that Mrs. Rigutini-Weismann says; the Warburg family should stress that Warburg was thinking of working as private scholar; recommends to his parents to visit Dr. [Robert] Davidsohn who had been very friendly to Warburg and whose wife [Philippine] is very nice; is pleased that they visited Mrs. [Jessie] Hillebrand; tells his father that, in time, he will value more and more St. Maria Novella with the Ghirlandaio frescoes; praises the frescoes in Palazzo Riccardi, the small painting 'The Death of Holofernes', very interesting and totally different from all the other Botticelli paintings; Warburg has written to Professor Riccardo Gandolfi to forward ten copies of Warburg's Italian article [I costume teatrali] to Moritz Warburg to send on to Warburg; two days previously Mortimer [Schiff] has arrived in Cuxhaven and Warburg has met him there; asks whether Charlotte has got rid of her cold, what is 'Her Appelship' doing?; aunt Mali [Amalie Goldschmidt] and Max Warburg send greetings
