ContentsMax is very pleased with his trip to Sweden; he has not met Mendelssohns; Dr. [Ed.?] Arning has sent an invoice which has been paid in Hamburg; [Dr. Max?] Goldzieher's address is Hamburg, Grosse Bleichen 24, Saenger's address is Hamburg, Gänsemarkt 3; forwards letter of thanks by Fränkels; old Mrs. Sanders learnt that Warburg was living in Berlin and mentioned this to her daughter, Mrs. Bendix; Charlotte forwards Mrs. Bendix's invitation; Mr. Bendix is a nice man, owns linen factories in Silesia; hopes that Warburg will visit them, the Sanders family is related to the Reichenheim family; Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Schiff, Frieda Warburg's parents, will travel to Europe at the end of February; Morti [Mortimer Schiff] and Puss [Nina Warburg] are very much looking forward to the visit; Charlotte read in the papers that E. Duse has broken off her engagement in Moscow and returned to Berlin; Johannes Robinow organised a party for his daughter Emmy on 09/02/1897, but it will take place at the house of Hermann Robinow; Olga and Max Warburg will attend; Alb. Oppenheimer organised a dance party for 21/02/1897; Charlotte went to a concert, Lieder sung by [Eugen] Gura, and she heard the cellist Hugo Becker; Olga plays music in her room; little 'Jimmy' [James Paul Warburg] is lovely
