Contentsshe greatly enjoys her stay in Munich; she tries to see as much as possible in the short time available to her; she gets an idea about modern painting; admires the many and diverse techniques; there is much mediocre art; she will go with Mr. Behn, an etcher, introduced to her by Mr. Müller, to see the people of Munich in Oktoberwiese; the previous evening they went to Franziskanerkeller and during the day she visited the [Franz von] Lenbach studio; her aunt Margareth Carr and [daughter] Betty [Elisabeth Maria Franke] are also in Munich; wishes to return to Hamburg and devote her time to painting; she would not like to live in Munich, there are too many impressions and influences to distract one; asks him when he will return to Hamburg; the cholera epidemic is receding
