| Contents | thanks her for birthday greetings; Mary gave him a rotating bookcase, a cushion, a new book and a Bondi terracotta relief; on 12/06/1898 they bought a cooker and a number of items for the new apartment; [Alfred and Anna] Doren visited in the evening; together with them they talked about the vagaries of the last 12 months and gratefully acknowledged that their present situation was better; [Aby Warburg and Mary Warburg] will leave the next day for Milan and then to Brunnen or Axenstein [in Switzerland] for a few days to get a respite from the heat; they will arrive in Hamburg on 20 or 21/06/1898; sends congratulations to the engaged couple; requests a cable to Brunnen whether he can send his official congratulations to the relatives in Frankfurt; he looks back on the past eight months with gratitude and hopes that Warburg and Mary will both live together for a long time |
