Contentscomplains about the postal service; he sent a cable but has not received hers; he has to kill time, which gives him opportunity to think; he does not like [Carl] Mollwo any more, they only meet for dinner; Mollwo will leave the same day, also Senator [Otto Eduard] Westphal and his wife; Warburg wants Max [Warburg] to collect him from the train station with the car; asks her to keep Warburg's cables so that he can complain to the telegraph office; is pleased that Emmy Jauch [Emily Jauch] or 'Mrs. Treat for the Eyes' visited Mary; Jauch must have been a welcome visitor after Mary [Sommer's] visit; finds that it is really better for Mrs. [Alida] Kaemmerer to stay at home [and not to go to Florence] because of the children; Warburg remembers that it was four years ago that Warburg and Mary announced their engagement officially; congratulates both of them; he still finds their decision then was the right one and he hopes that they can develop and grow stronger in their love for each other; plans to return to Hamburg on 12 or 13/07/1901; they will be able to talk to [Jan] Veth after his return; Warburg, although he has been in Heligoland only for one week, is already restless; not that he wants to get back to Hamburg fast, calls it 'atavistic', but his grandfather Warburg finds it hard to get to Bremen
