Contentshe could not continue with studies on Magister Johann Thilling, as requested by Warburg, as the archive in Goslar moved to a new building and he was busy with the move; informs him that there is a house in Braunschweig which has been painted by the same artist; Thilling has most probably been to Italy, as the Thilling family was engaged in a court case against the council of the city of Goslar from 1501 - 1521, fought in the highest ecclesiastical court in Rome;there might be more material on Thilling in the records; the three ears of corn on Thilling's coat-of-arms refer to the fact that he was a beer brewer; invites Warburg to visit Goslar, he will then be able to show Warburg influences of Italian art on art in Goslar
