Contentsthanks him for his letter of 01/05/1911; agrees with Brockhaus in principle; it has long weighed heavily on his mind that he could not keep his promise about editing the Medici Inventory; the lectures in the Holiday Course in the spring of 1912 would give him the impetus to work on the Inventory in the next months; furthermore, he has given seven lectures in Hamburg in 1909 on the same topic; he wants to give lectures and organise outings to sites in Florence and the surrounding countryside; he therefore requests that he is the sole lecturer, Bombe can conduct tours after the course in the surrounding countryside; however, Warburg also suggests to invite [Hans] Willich to be invited to lecture on the Florentine private house; it is difficult to accept a lecture invitation without any financial remuneration; this is a way to limit the invitations to certain scholars and not to others from the outset; requests a sciopticon for his lectures
