Contentsthanks her for letter; is very pleased to read that Warburg's health has improved; complains about her sleeplessness; times are bad, hopes that 'we' [Germany] will not sign the treaty papers; is very grateful that Lola [du Bois-Reymond] has returned from Versailles 'unhurt'; Lili's friends, Liepmanns, will move from Kiel to Hamburg; her daughter Lea visited her at Whitsun and is working with German Youth organisations; Lili has coined a phrase: 'gib mir 14 Punkte auf denen ich stehen kann und ich hebe die Welt aus ihren Angelsachsen' [give me 14 points on which I can stand and I will rid the world of its Anglo Saxons' - a pun on the word 'Angeln' and 'Angelsachsen'; the '14 points' refer to the Wilson 14 points of 08/01/1918] and asks her to tell it to Warburg; she had a letter from [Maurice] Sterne, that he was very unhappy about the marriage and that he would come to Germany as soon as possible; his drawings and paintings are appreciated in America
