Contentsis interested in Mary's news; hopes that Warburg's condition has improved; is pleased that Max Adolph has enrolled in a 'Landerziehungsheim' and Marietta in a domestic school; admires Becky Beme [?], recently returned from Africa, who was shocked how impoverished Germany was; Lili visited her son Felix [du Bois-Reymond] in Flensburg; Roland [Lili's son] is with them in Plön at present; they were able to buy a cow for Mark 2,000; unfortunately the cow gives only some 4 litres of milk; but all in all it is one very positive development after one negative development, the sale of their house in Udröst; Lola [du Bois-Reymond] [her daughter] left for Versailles; on the political situation, the dictates of Versailles; should Germany sign the documents under protest?; nobody can seriously believe in a peaceful development; Lea [her daughter] also wanted to come to Plön for the Easter holidays, but the journey was too long for her; Lea therefore went to the Eytel family, who have lost their son-in-law and two sons in the war; she will spend the summer semester in Marburg; Paul Leo [son of her sister Cécile Leo, née Hensel] will also study in Marburg; what does Max Warburg have to say about the Versailles treaties?; wants to know whether the Warburg family has suffered any financial loss in the war; is very pleased that at long last a university was founded in Hamburg; hopes that 'her [brother] Paul [Hensel]' might get a post there; Marie Günther, her niece, will move to Hamburg; Günther's husband is the son of Agnes Günther, he was an army chaplain, is a friend of the young Woermann; Woermann has asked the army chaplain to come to Hamburg to work among the poor
