Contentsit is only a conjecture that Kolowissi is identical to Quetzalcoatl, but in parts also supported by [Eduard Georg] Seler and [Konrad Theodor] Preuss; apologizes but cannot supply bibliographical references; replies to Warburg's second question on Quetzalcoatl: he is represented with decoration made of snail-shell, polished to make the internal spirals visible; he is a god bringing health, everything round is sacred to him; he is also the god of winds, making whirls; refers to an interesting representation where Quetzalcoatl has a shepherd's crook, a coat with patterns in the shape of crosses and a pointed hat; refers to illustrations in his book; Quetzalcoatl also had links to the moon, to Venus; the book by Kaufmann is completely wrong; refers to his own book 'Kultur und Religion des primitiven Menschen'; concedes that there are connections between Mexico and the great Oriental cultures, China, Babylon, but prefers to see them as 'psychological' and geographical connections; refers to his book 'Magie und Geheimwissenschaft in ihrer Bedeutung für Kultur und Kulturgeschichte'; is very happy having met Warburg, sends greetings to Boas; encloses an article on step ornaments and spirals and request return of article
