Contentsapologizes for late reply; he is very busy at the beginning of the semester; he was very happy giving a lecture in KBW in Hamburg; the days in Hamburg were for him days of intellectual uplift and reinvigoration; is very grateful for having been invited to lecture; is ashamed that Warburg thanked him for the lecture but he takes it as a token of their old friendship, refers to 'Frau Fortuna' who has accompanied him through life; thanks him for the letter in which Warburg reacted to Doren's lecture; lists six topics: 1, Isis Euploia, Isis-Fortuna, Isotyche; symbol of sail and headgear; 2, Kairos, god of decisive action, not god of luck; Machiavelli, Occasio, Boccaccio; 3, on the origin of the wheel image, Nemesis; 4, the equation fortuna = tempestas maris; 5, Christian medieval symbolism incorporating Fortuna as demon; 6, on Saxl's understanding of the wheel of fortune and the idea of development; asks Warburg to instruct Saxl to travel back from Kreuzlingen via Leipzig; wants to speak to Saxl and discuss with him the material he is preparing for publication; he has too much material so that he fears it will be too long for an article; suggests to publish it on its own in 'Studien'; promises to visit Warburg in the summer or early autumn and thanks him for the invitation; he enjoyed meeting Warburg's children when in Hamburg, praises Max Adolph, would be happy to hear that Max Adolph wants to study in Leipzig for one semester; mentions Professors [Franz] Studniczka, [Hans Eduard Adolf] Driesch and [G. M. Wilhelm] Pinder;Warburg and Mary can be proud of their children
