Contentsthanks him for letter; everything is fine in Hamburg, the children are well and very funny to watch; the two Nannies, one of them called Martha, are doing a good job; requests once more the address of Mrs. Pinto; Katinka, 'the muse of Rotenburgsort', is cheerful, but she is always sick; [Heinrich] Embden diagnosed a nervous stomach complaint; Marianne [Embden] is not well, her father is in a bad mood, the grandmother as well; Wilhelm [Hertz] is visiting often, his wife Hanna [Johanna Hertz] has put on weight, which is very good; Usch [Ursula Benemann her sister], however, has problems as she does not lose weight; assures him that small repairs will be dealt with; is still sorry that mother [Charlotte] Warburg could not decide on buying anything from Mrs. [Amélie] Lütcken; Alice rang Mary and told her that Felix [Warburg] wants to present them with a big present for the new house; Alice suggests to have the faded green furniture newly upholstered and there will be money left for a stair carpet
