Contentson his treatment in Kissingen; Dr. Otto Meyer referred him to Dr. Rosenthal in Kissingen; he was thoroughly examined, Rosenthal said that Hertz should not try to lose 12 pounds, that was too much; for his knee complaint he is treated like a gout sufferer, has to keep a strict diet, has to drink a lot, walk a lot, he has to bathe in the salt-water bath every three days; he likes Kissingen, the situation is ideal, woody, quiet; he will no longer drink Rakoczy with bitter water; he is not interested in doing anything; wonders how Warburg is getting on with his hayfever?; advises him to go to Heligoland or for two weeks on board of a vessel; [Fritz] Bendixen is also in Kissingen, he is getting better, will stay on for a few days; enjoys Bendixen's company, they go for walks in the afternoons; otherwise he does not miss company; the anniversary of the death of his brother [Adolph Jacob], 04/06, was bad, the whole family misses him
