Contentsat long last it rained the previous evening; it had been unberably humid; reports on the meeting of the Summer School courses; the atmosphere was not very good, [Walter] Karf against [Wilhelm] Herkenroth and [B.] Schaedel; the courses have gone up in price, so that fewer students will book; the previous evening he attended a lecture by [Carl Friedrich Michael] Meinhof who spoke freely, without text; enjoys reading the reports of the family, the tour to Kuhgrat must have been wonderful; requests a letter from Miss Margaret [Thurnham]; Paul [Warburg] sent newspaper cuttings in which Paul's name figures prominently; Warburg thinks that the US authorities will want to keep Paul's services; on Sunday, 26/07/1914, Franke and Wilhanna [Wilhelm and Johanna Hertz] will come to lunch at Kösterberg
