Contents | they are very busy with Lola's [Warburg] wedding; some of the wedding guests had lunch with them: Edmund Landau, who is a mathematician from Göttingen, with his wife, and who is a nephew of Mrs. Hahn; then Franz Hahn and wife; then Lola du Bois-Reymond, who knows Hahns; then Victor Goldschmidt, aunt Anna's [Warburg] mother from Sweden; afterwards Mary had to make the illustrations for the play which was supposed to be performed for the wedding couple, but will not now be performed, simply handed to them; Mary has also made the illustrations for the 'wedding newspaper'; the tea service was a hit, Lola and Rudo [Rudolf Hahn] liked it and the tea cosy, in contrast to other presents, like an awful vase by uncle Moritz [Oppenheim] |
