| Contents | it was the second day of school; he is well, likes his accommodation with Lindigs and the new school, teachers; he has to have additional maths, the maths teacher, Dr. Langhans, is a very good teacher; Dr. [Franz] Lindig is also a mathematician and can help Max Adolph; the colleagues at school are nice, but not special; Martin Rohlfs is top of the form, a boy called Nickels or Neckels seems nice enough, is interested in art history, likes going on walks, is from Othmarschen; Max Adolph is fine with Latin and Greek; the German master is Dr. Moldenhauer, English master is not as good as Dr. Lehmann [in Holzminden]; Girr teaches History, Lindig teaches Physics; he will join a drawing class and RE; he visited the du Bois-Reymond family the previous day, very nice; they were all there except for Felix [du Bois-Reymond] and Roland [du Bois-Reymond]; Lindigs can accommodate two more people, invites Mary and Frede to visit him |
