Contentsthe wedding went very well the previous day; Max Warburg gave a very good speech, mentioned his grandmother who, after the death of her daughter, continued with the Friday evening meals and whose granddaughter married six weeks later; the ceremonies were strictly Jewish wedding ceremonies, very beautiful, Dr. Nobel gave a very good speech, explaining Goethe's poem 'In unseres Busens Reine'; at dinner, members of the Warburg family gave speeches; Professor Martin Hahn also spoke well; Lola looked beautiful, Marietta was bridesmaid together with Renate, Bettina and Elisabeth Sudeck; Mary read Warburg's letter to the bridal couple, beautiful; Senator [Werner] von Melle visited Mary, inquired about Warburg, Mrs. Heise also visited, Carl Georg, her son, was on holiday so that she did not know whether the news of Charlotte Warburg's death has reached him; 'Leutnant' Lolch does no longer live with Mary, she moved to [Heinrich] Embden's sister [Käthe Embden?]
