Contents | is pleased that she does not return to Hamburg before the building work is over; reports on the family and friends who descended upon him in Munich; Prof. [Marc?] Rosenberg and Jacques R. [Rosenberg] introduced him to the Rosenbergs, who were 'friendly', but 'too Asiatic'; he had to accompany them to the Royal Theatre; is annoyed with all visitors, as he wants to study and does not want to be the tour guide for 'these Semi-Asians' from Odessa [Siegfried Aschkenasy and his wife Aniuta, née von Günzburg, sister of Alexander von Günzburg]; however, he enjoyed guiding Agnes and her brother Oscar Ollendorff through Munich; realized that he had not corresponded with the Ollendorffs for some time, but defends himself, he wants to study and does not want to account for his time; [aunt] Pauline Brandeis was supposed to come but did not arrive so that he wasted a day of organising and preparing for her stay; 'what ideas do these people have of the duties of a student?'; it does not matter to him if her family thinks badly of him, he will just withdraw into himself; he wants to stay until the middle of August in Munich; father has written to him that he is going to Ostend at the beginning of August; Warburg would prefer to go to a quiet spot, like Polldemünde [?]; is annoyed about the Centenary celebrations in Munich |
